Thank you for your interest in Woodland Basketball. My name is (Coach) Scott Decker. My wife and I have lived in Woodland for 14+ years. We have two children (ages 8 & 10). I'm a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, was captain of my college basketball team, and have been a volunteer youth coach at the local YMCA, Youth Basketball League (YBL), and Woodland Cal Ripken Baseball - for which I was fingerprinted, successfully passed a background check, and completed Sexual Abuse Awareness Training with a score of 100%.

I have degrees from the University of California, Davis and Stanford University, and have worked in corporate America for over two decades.

I LOVE basketball but due to a lifetime of sports my knees don't permit me to play competitively any longer. Thankfully, I discovered that coaching is even more rewarding. Nothing makes me happier than teaching a player how to improve and seeing the joy on their face when their hard work in practice translates to success in games.
